How can I obtain a sound permit?

Sound permits may be obtained for events at city parks or in commercially-zoned locations when amplified sound will be used.  Applications need to be submitted to the City Clerk’s Office at least five days before the event. To obtain an application please call the City Clerk’s office at 303-538-7230 or download the City’s Sound Permit Application.  

Note:  Since citizens live in close proximity to each other and noise sensitivity can be an issue, sound permits are not issued in residential areas. Also, be aware that the City regulates unreasonable noise, pursuant to the Thornton City Code.
