The fees for building permits vary according to the type of construction and the valuation of the project. For most projects, the permit fee is determined by applying the valuation of the project to the Permit Fee Schedule as shown on the website. A City use tax is also assessed on permits and collected at the time of permit issuance. This tax is based on the material cost or the valuation of the job.
