How do I report a public sidewalk that needs to be cleared of snow or ice?

Residents and businesses are responsible for clearing their sidewalks of snow and ice within 24 hours of the last accumulation. This includes all public sidewalks that line, adjoin, or are adjacent to your property.

The city of Thornton is committed to having an accessible community for all people. Accumulated snow and ice can prevent those walking or in a wheelchair from using the sidewalk. To request a code compliance officer inspect a property for City Code violations, submit a My Thornton request and provide as much information as possible.
