What are the city's requirements for home additions or renovations?
All home additions will need to meet the required setbacks for your property. Setbacks depend on the zoning for the specific property. To find out what your setbacks are, contact the City Development Department at (303) 538-7295.
Additions less than 480 square feet require a building permit. Home additions over 480 square feet require a Minor Development Permit, and a building permit.
Home additions will need be visually compatible with the existing home, including architecture and materials.
