Where can I find information about homelessness?

If there is an emergency involving somebody experiencing homeless, please contact the Thornton Police Department by calling or texting 9-1-1.  If texting, in the message field type the location of the emergency and type of help needed followed then click “send.”  Be prepared to answer questions and follow instructions from the 9-1-1 dispatcher.

If you or somebody you know are experiencing homelessness, we are here to help. Call The Homeless Outreach Team (HOT) at Community Connections at 720-977-5900, send an email to ThorntonHOT@ThorntonCO.gov , or visit the HOT webpage which includes resources for people experiencing homelessness. You can also submit a request via My Thornton.

If you are concerned about becoming homeless due to eviction, foreclosure or not being able to afford your rent, please contact one of the housing assistance providers listed at Thornton Cares or reach out to our team at Connections@ThorntonCO.gov or 720-977-5800.
