How can I volunteer to help in the parks?

Parks Programs and Information
The Parks & Forestry Division utilizes volunteers from churches, Boy and Girl Scout troops, service organizations and just about anyone that is willing to donate their time to help out with some type of project or maintenance task we have available. Projects in the past have included planting flowers, installing benches, cleaning up trash from open space areas, applying wood preservatives on wood rail fencing, fishing piers, wood pavilions and wooden bridges. Available projects are based on budget, number of volunteers and time of year.
For more information call the Parks & Forestry Division at 303-255-7831 or submit a My Thornton request.
