The City of Thornton participates in a North Metro Mosquito Cooperative effort. Through this effort the City of Thornton along with Adams County, Northglenn, Westminster, Federal Heights, Commerce City and Aurora work together to monitor breeding sites for mosquitoes as well as track all phone calls for mosquito nuisance issues.

Vector Disease Control is the main contractor for this cooperative group and the point of contact for the City of Thornton. If you have questions about what is being done in your neighborhood, please call the mosquito hotline at 877-276-4306.
