How can I find out about Arbor Day in Thornton?

Parks Programs and Information
The City Forester conducts an educational tree planting for Arbor Day each year. The goal of this planting is to get some sector of the community involved in tree plantings and provide an educational element to the planting. In the past trees have been planted in local parks with residents from surrounding neighborhoods involved. Other plantings have occurred at elementary schools and kids help plant the trees.
In all cases the program is conducted by the City Forester and participants are taught the importance of trees in our community and how to properly plant and care for trees. For additional information, call the Parks/Forestry Division at 303-255-7875, or visit the Forestry page.
