The city of Thornton collects trash on a weekly basis and the charges are added to your city of Thornton utility bill.  Recycling is included and is collected twice per month.  Charges for trash collection are as follows:

• One waste container $13.50 per month
• Two waste containers $16.00 per month
• Three waste containers $25.20 per month
• Four waste containers $34.40 per month

As of April 1, 2024, trash charges will increase to the following:

• One waste container $17.50 per month
• Two waste containers $22.00 per month
• Three waste containers $35.90 per month
• Four waste containers $45.80 per month
