What can I do about high weeds or trees and bushes that need to be cut?
Category:
Weeds and Landscaping
Weeds may not exceed a height of eight inches, and noxious weeds are prohibited. This regulation does not apply to lawn and native grasses, which can be any height. Private property areas that are not occupied by structures or driveways must be landscaped. Property owners are required to prune bushes and tree limbs so that they do not obstruct public streets or sidewalks. To request a code compliance officer inspect a property for City Code violations, submit a My Thornton request and provide as much information as possible.
