How do I report illegal dumping or a prohibited discharge?
Dumping on any private or public land or in trash containers belonging to someone else is illegal. This includes grass clippings, tree branches and other trash or debris. It is also illegal to discharge anything other than stormwater into a storm drain. To report a site of illegal dumping for clean up, submit a My Thornton request and provide as much information as possible.
If you see someone dumping materials or discharging liquids into a storm drain or in the street, please report the incident when it is occurring to the police dispatch at 720-977-5150.
