Citywide tests of homes in Thornton have consistently shown that lead does not pose a significant hazard in the city. Because of this, the city offers limited lead testing on a case-by-case basis. If residents have special circumstances in their homes and are concerned about lead contamination, they are encouraged to contact the Water Quality Laboratory.
